We are going through challenging days together. But I remain confident that God will bring us through this difficult time. I'm sure we will have a deeper sense of appreciation and gratitude for our lives and those of others.
I hope you’ll stay as safe and as healthy as possible.
Blessings,
Barry
OUR MISSION
We believe that God has called us to make a difference in our community through biblical principles that are relevant to Christian fellowship, growth, service and reaching out to all of humanity.
So we will:
-
abide in Christ and mutual love, standing united with like-minded Bible believing Christians
-
be an influence for good in working with local authorities and other social organisations to address the challenges within our society
-
be a witness to Christ within our community and present the full gospel of God’s kingdom and power to everyone
-
be led by the Holy Spirit in enabling individual, family and corporate lives (educational facilities, work-places, and neighbourhoods) to become transformed and empowered for God’s glory.
Mark 12:30-31
“…you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength’. This is the first commandment. And the second, like it, is this: ‘You shall love your neighbour as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.”

OUR HISTORY
The Church of God of Prophecy (COGOP) started an extension Sunday School in Dudley in the late 1950s – early 1960s, led by a few members from a fellowship in Smethwick, Birmingham. At that time believers were encouraged to set up new churches in areas where there were none. The school grew sufficiently until the group of believers rented and eventually purchased the parish hall of St Thomas and Luke Church - Church of England, in King Street, Dudley.
In 2014 the King Street members merged with the congregation at High Oak, Pensnett, to form a new congregation called Cornerstone Community Church. The church is a branch of COGOP, an international Pentecostal movement.
The Church of God of Prophecy has been active in community life in Dudley borough for over 60 years, believing that good things come out of Dudley.

Join us for Sunday worship services starting 11am
If you’re new to the area, new to church, or just looking for a new start, our Sunday morning worship services offer you the opportunity to build your faith in God and connect with new people.
You are more than welcome to join us in worship and take part in a range of activities. Maybe you’re reading about us for the first time or visited us before and are now wondering if this is for you.
Join us Sunday mornings online
Cornerstone Community Church is doing all we can to make it possible for everyone to experience church fellowship and Biblical teaching that keeps our faith strong and to have access to prayer.
With this in mind, we are ready to present recorded worship services each Sunday along with short sermons. We hope you’ll join us online!
Many groups, one big family
What makes church special is the strong relationships that we build with people at similar stages in life to help us in being faithful to God. At Cornerstone we provide opportunities for groups to come together at various life stages. For example, we can set up groups for new Christians, for children and youth, senior citizens, cell groups, home and overseas mission and community activities.
MEET THE TEAM
Welcome to the Cornerstone leadership team. We are excited about God and the vision he has given us for serving our community.
