About the Event
Let’s plug in together
We are encouraging local people to help themselves and others by reconnecting with others to improve their health and wellbeing. There are different ways we can plug in together:
• Connecting our communities in a safe space person to person or online space through digital engagement. It will contribute to tackling loneliness and isolation by connecting communities through digital self-help solutions and facilitate virtual communities.
• Creating a place of welcome, to develop a wi-fi enabled facility for visitors onsite accessible on an appointment basis, and an online platform for people to connect from the comfort of their own homes.
• For those who would like to use the internet or connect with others online we can offer a buddying service to help in basic digital skills as well as signpost to library services.
• For those who are need access to online local and community services onsite, as well as use the space for their children for learning. Also, we will facilitate online basic life and core skills including CV skills, job readiness skills, access to benefits, and financial advice and support.
